📖 Description

This is the third post describing our team's work on selection theorems for modularity, as part of a project mentored by John Wentworth ([see](https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/JzTfKrgC7Lfz3zcwM/theories-of-modularity-in-the-biological-literature) [here](https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/XKwKJCXgSKhSr9bZY/project-intro-selection-theorems-for-modularity) for the earlier posts). Although the theoretical and empirical parts of the project have both been going very well, we're currently bottlenecked on the empirical side: we have several theories and ideas for how to test them, but few experimental results. Right now, we only have one empiricist coding up experiments, so this overhang seems likely to persist.
